Vision of the latent violence in the Argentinian society and the brutal impact of immigration in the course of the Nation. Arlt as introducer of the "mal de vivre" in the Argentinian cultural scene and precursor of existentialism before Sartre.
Teacher / Speaker: Marcela Solá. Writer, translator. He studied philosophy at the Universidad Católica Argentina, Santa María de los Buenos Aires. He was a professor at Laval University in Quebec, Canada, and currently teaches Literature at the University of Belgrano. In 1984 he obtained the Fullbright Scholarship to participate in the International Writers Workshop in Iowa, USA. He published novels, poetry and stories. Among which are: “El silencio de Kina” (1999); "Death Certificate" (1994), 1st prize in the II Arcane Poetry Contest, "The condemned wear white" (1971); "My own eyes cannot cope" (1976); and "Manual of impossible situations" (1990). He collaborated in a “Speleology of Light” in Dessin Dunsmore Peinture (1984); "Virginia Wolf: an aesthetic of water," "Women out of control" (2000); "The novelization of time"; "Luisa Valenzuela without mask".
