The Foro del Sur Foundation promotes different initiatives to analyze the implications of Telework, an issue whose complexity was even more exposed after the COVID-19 pandemic, urging to discuss, without prejudice, strategies so that the increasing use of this type of work does not consolidate situations that may further weaken women in the face of economic inequality, job insecurity, violence, or the search for a shared allocation of responsibilities in home tasks.

For this purpose, the poll Women and Teleworking from home was launched. How do we live this challenge? through which we have received a total of 6367 responses from almost all of our country’s provinces. The initiative includes the survey -with the active participation of 35 public and private entities that are preparing to work together in the design of proposals for the formulation of public policies- as well as recommendations for organizations, companies, unions and organizations related to health.

This document is therefore the result of a collaborative action aimed at bringing a gender perspective view to the design and implementation of regulatory frameworks and good telework practices, since this modality has a different impact on women. For its preparation, we counted with the active participation of representatives of the aforementioned civil society organizations and public bodies, who, throughout various meetings, analyzed and debated various aspects of the Telework bill that has the approval of the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation and the results of the survey on Women and Teleworking from Home, designed by the Foro del Sur Foundation.
