CALL FOR PAPERS
Call for research papers for the Forum on Migration, Trade and World Economy
The Forum served as an innovative platform to stimulate greater understanding of the link between migration and international trade, through constructive dialogue based on academic excellence. In order to enrichen this discussion, the presentation of original research papers was convened as contributions to the discussion. These research papers provided the necessary framework to understand the complexity of the link between migration, international trade and global economy.
In this regard, it was proposed that the presentations address the issue of migration from a trade perspective, with the aim of allowing a better understanding of its central aspects and the challenges of this problem, as well as contributing to the identification of possible solutions. Work was also required to be conceptually innovative and relevant from the point of view of public policies, and papers that address this issue in an interdisciplinary manner were especially welcomed.
BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING
The selected papers were presented and discussed in the framework of the Forum on Migration, Trade and World Economy in Buenos Aires and published by ICTSD in 2018.
The works were distributed and promoted before a large audience, which included public policy makers and influential stakeholders.
Likewise, those who participated with written papers had the possibility of an in-depth review process by experts, aimed at achieving innovative ideas and oriented to propose solutions. They were invited to participate in ICTSD networking events and to develop interdisciplinary links.
